Opening her own grooming salon has been a dream of Danielle Wood since she first started working with animals at the age of 15. In 2000, Danielle began working at her local veterinarian as a kennel tech and as an assistant to the groomer. She then learned from two master groomers over a six-year period, receiving the best hands on training she could ask for. After years of training and gaining confidence, she decided it was time to start grooming full-time. She worked in two salons before deciding to open her own in April of 2012.
Joann’s love of animals started at a young age. Her first experience working with animals began when she started her own pet sitting business. She found herself doing nail trims and brushing on her clients and realized she wanted to pursue grooming. She took every opportunity she could to learn as much as she could. She trained for a year with another groomer and then came and worked with Danielle at a grooming shop in Maryland. Joann joined us here in Jacobus in the summer of 2013.We are so grateful to have a loving and caring person that I can trust with everything. Joann has a very calm energy and takes her job very seriously. She is always striving to learn more and do the best!
Kim joined our team in Dec of 2014. Before coming to us she had over 6 years experience working with animals as an adoption coordinator at a local rescue and a manager at a kennel and doggy daycare facility. She received 8 months of hands of training with us and we be believe she has a natural talent for grooming. She now grooms with us full time and puts out excellent work.
Danielle and Anne have been best friends since middle school. They have worked together over the years at many different veterinarians and boarding kennels. When it came time to bring on another groomer, we had difficulty find someone who met our needs so we decided to train Anne. After training for 6 months not only is Anne a natural, the dogs love her fun personality!
So rest easy knowing that no matter who is grooming your dog, Danielle, Joann, Kim or Anne they will be receiving the best possible care and attention to detail!
